The men in green will face the second-placed team in Group B comprising Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Fakhar Zaman and Imamul Haq will open the batting, with Babar Azam looking to build on his fine form, evidenced by his impressive score of 151 against Nepal.
Wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan will be fourth in the batting order. The fifth and sixth position will be occupied by Salman Agha and Iftikhar Ahmed respectively.
Despite the costly match against India on Saturday, Pakistan will field their spin bowling all-rounders Shadab Khan, while all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has been named in the squad in place of Mohammad Nawaz. The last three slots in the line-up will feature the dynamic fast bowling trio of Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah, known for their pace and ability to trouble the batsmen.
It should be noted that these three Pakistani fast bowlers created history in the said match against India by becoming the first group of fast bowlers to take all 10 wickets in an ODI match of the Asia Cup.
